UPDATE: This game was scheduled for 3 PM EST but has been delayed until at least 8 PM EST due to safety protocols.

GAME STORY

The Miami Heat got waxed 38-19 in the third quarter against the Pistons on Saturday night and ended up losing the game by 20 points. It wasn’t pretty. The defense was bad and the culture of doing everything it takes hasn’t been there.

Although the Heat was without Jimmy Butler and Tyler Herro, it was clear they are still lacking some desperation to prove they deserve to be in the NBA elite. They get another chance at the 3-9 Pistons in Miami Monday afternoon for a 3:00 game on MLK day.

Last year, the Heat were 19-7 when they suffered their 7th loss of the season. Now at 4-7, Miami has some work to do.

ODDS: FiveThirtyEight gives the Heat an 81% chance to win the game.

HEAT VS PISTONS: MONDAY, JANUARY 18 AT 3:00 PM.
