GAME STORY

The Miami Heat will look to follow up their impressive opening night win over the Bucks with a road victory over the Indiana Pacers.

The Pacers (0-2) will be on the other side of a back-to-back as they lost in overtime to the Washington Wizards on Friday night. The Pacers had a 6 point lead in OT, but let it slip away and lost 135-134. This will be Indiana’s home opener in their newly named Gainbridge Fieldhouse (formerly Conseco Fieldhouse and Bankers Life Fieldhouse). And they’ll be desperate for a win.

The Heat (1-0) put a beating on the injured Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday. Now, they could be without key contributors in Kyle Lowry and Dewayne Dedmon who are listed as questionable.

The biggest problem the Pacers pose the Heat is their size up front. Sure, Bam can handle either of Myles Turner or Domantas Sabonis, but he can’t guard them both, and PJ Tucker will be really undersized. However, this will be a theme all season, so the Heat defense will be prepared for it.

Pacers always play the Heat well so this could be a great game, and Indy will be fired up for their home opener and looking for their first victory. Let’s hope the Heat responds and takes care of business.

HEAT VS PACERS: SATURDAY, OCTOBER 23 AT 7:00 P.M.
