GAME STORY

After another preseason victory last night against the Houston Rockets to improve to 2-0, the Miami Heat are right back at it tonight against the host San Antonio Spurs with tip-off scheduled for 8:30pm.

Coach Erik Spoelstra fielded a starting lineup and a rotation during the first half last night that strongly hinted at what it would look like during the regular season, but don’t expect to see that again versus the Spurs on the second night of a back-to-back set in the preseason. While some starters and regular rotation players may play some minutes in the first half, others will likely sit out today’s game entirely and the starting lineup will likely be altered as a result.

Having said that, the players that will participate will try to make a good impression on the coaching staff in a bid for more minutes in future games along with doing their part to keep Miami undefeated in the preseason.

San Antonio won their preseason opener Monday against the visiting Utah Jazz by a whopping 30-point margin, but lost to the host Detroit Pistons 115-105 on Wednesday.
