GAME STORY

The Miami Heat will begin their longest road trip in the last decade when they visit the Houston Rockets to start a 7-game trip all against western conference opponents.

At 10-14, the Heat are in desperate need of continuing their winning ways (won 3 in a row). The Rockets have lost 4 out of 5 and are 5-5 at home. Miami comes in looking to put some pressure on a team that is also hurting from injuries. Christian Wood is unavailable for this game for Houston. Wood is the team’s leading scorer (22 PPG) and rebounder (10.2 RPG). But John Wall and DeMarcus Cousins will play and have been problems for the Heat in previous seasons (but that’s been some time).

We will also be watching Victor Oladipo, who we think will play. He missed the last game, but it was also a back-to-back so he should be available here. Oladipo has been linked to Miami in trade rumors.

The cross-matchups will be interesting in this game to watch because these teams don’t match up eye-to-eye.

ODDS: FiveThirtyEight gives the Heat a 53% chance to win the game.

HEAT VS ROCKETS: THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 11 AT 7:30 PM.
