Things are starting to get ugly for the Miami Heat. After blowing a 15-point 4th quarter lead to the Golden State Warriors last night, the Heat have dropped three straight games and have three more away from home out west. This time, against the Sacramento Kings (12-15).
The Heat beat the Kings by one point a few weeks ago. Miami had a lot of trouble guarding De’Arron Fox in the 4th quarter of that game. This is one the Heat just really need to get as their season is slowly slipping away from them.
As bad as it is, Miami is still only 2 games back of 8th place in the East, but there hasn’t been many signs that the Heat will turn this thing around. Throughout the road trip, Miami has been blessed to play teams short-handed. The Rockets without Christian Wood, the Jazz without Mike Conley, the Clippers without Paul George and Kawhi Leonard, and the Warriors without Draymond Green — but the Heat have lost 3 out of the 4 games.
A loss to the Kings would send Miami into LA to play the Lakers on a 4-game losing streak. We don’t want that. Let’s get the win.
ODDS: FiveThirtyEight gives the Heat a 45% chance to win the game.
