The Heat big man will miss the rest of the season

Meyers Leonard will miss the rest of the season for the Miami Heat as he undergoes shoulder surgery. The big man signed a $9.4 million dollar deal to return to the Heat during the offseason. He also missed a big part of last season due to a lingering ankle injury.

Leonard injured his shoulder against the Wizards on January 9th and hasn’t played since. This season Leonard was averaging 3.3 points, 2.3 rebounds in three games played.

Meyers will continue to be a big voice on the Heat bench and in the Heat locker room. We wish him a speedy recovery.
