The Miami Heat desperately need to get things on track. At 7-13, their season is slowly slipping away from them. Now, they’ll host the team that helped them create all their COVID-19 issues, the Washington Wizards.
It was after the Heat’s win in Washington that their COVID-19 situation unfolded which caused Jimmy Butler to miss nearly three weeks of action. Miami hasn’t been the same since that win. The Wizards are coming off a thrilling win over the Brooklyn Nets, and now with Bradley Beal and Russell Westbrook healthy, they are going to be a threat. The Wizards will be on the other side of a back-to-back as they hosted the Portland Trailblazers on Tuesday night.
Miami will have their hands full guarding Beal and Westbrook, but Bam Adebayo should be able to be more effective on the interior. Although Robin Lopez did create some problems for Miami in the last game. Everyone should watch out for Garrison Mathews in fantasy leagues as well.
Bradley Beal has been on the Heat’s trade radar for a while and a few days in Miami can always help...not really sure that it will make any difference.
The Heat will play the Wizards again on Friday night. Miami has lost three of their four games on a six-game stand at home, and will wrap that up with these two games.
ODDS: FiveThirtyEight gives the Heat a 78% chance to win the game.
