This time however, Russell Westbrook will be on the court instead of resting as he did on Wednesday when the Wizards prevailed for the hard-fought 103-100 victory. This is the first time Westbrook faces the Heat this season; he also sat out the Jan. 9 game due to left quad soreness. He will replace Ish Smith, who went scoreless on 0-8 shooting Wednesday but dished out a team-leading six assists, in the starting lineup. The Wizards have won back-to-back games only once this season - just like the Heat.
Miami’s struggles have been well documented on Hot Hot Hoops (earlier this week as well as here and here), and there appears to be little in the way of reinforcements with Avery Bradley now lost to injury for the next few weeks. Tyler Herro (knee) and Goran Dragic (knee) are now being listed as day-to-day, but they will likely play tonight. The rest of the injury report remains the same as it did for the last game.
ODDS: FiveThirtyEight gives the Heat a 73% chance to win the game.
