GAME PREVIEW: The Heat host Cavs looking to stay hot

New, comments

The Heat expects Bam Adebayo to return to the lineup as they host the Cleveland Cavaliers.

NBA: Miami Heat at Utah Jazz Russell Isabella-USA TODAY Sports

GAME STORY

The Miami Heat have won 4 straight games, all without Bam Adebayo who is positioned to return to the lineup tonight when they face the Cleveland Cavaliers (14-24).

Miami, winners of 10 out of their last 11 games, has been playing much more consistently and is currently holding the NBA’s best defense over the past month. Nearing a team with full health — the Heat are looking to continue their winning ways with a home game against the struggling Cavs.

Collin Sexton will be the problem for Miami as he can score effectively and will never stop pressuring the defense. The problem for Cleveland is going to be scoring...which they’re 30th in the NBA and Miami’s tight defense is going to be a tough combo here. Kevin Love exited their last game early after missing all of January and February with injury, we are unsure of his status — but it seems as though he will play.

Miami hasn’t overwhelmed any team yet. So although they are favored, nothing is given and everything will be earned.

ODDS: FiveThirtyEight gives the Heat a 84% chance to win the game.

HEAT VS CAVS: TUESDAY, MARCH 16 AT 8:00 PM.
