Oladipo sustained a knee injury in the fourth quarter of last night’s win over the Los Angeles Lakers and did not return.
Victor Oladipo went to the locker room and was ruled out for the remainder of the game after this dunk.

It was an unfortunate turn of events for Oladipo, who had played his best game in a Miami uniform until his injury. He even made a nice drive to the basket and dunked on Andre Drummond in a move reminiscent of his play from 2018.

Oladipo will be a free agent this off-season. Miami’s deadline day trade for him for Kelly Olynyk, Avery Bradley and a 2022 pick swap turned the rest of the season into a trial run for the Heat to see whether Oladipo merits a max contract. Sustaining a potentially serious injury so soon in his tenure with Miami could make Pat Riley look askance at the prospect of paying him big money.
With Oladipo now out, the Heat may go back to starting Kendrick Nunn.
