Is Jaquez the new Butler? I love the pace with Butler out. Hope Rozier can play vs Boston. Miami played great defense most of the game. Coby White looked very human. 13 pints on 5/16 and 2/8 shooting. Wright is a great defensive player.

Miami just built different, we’ve suffered so many injuries, but spo’s special coaching ability is maximizing talent to overachieve even with deficits in the roster.
I have no problem seeing an extra game with Sabonis, Fox, Murray, Ingram, Valanciunis, McCollum.
A lot of teams get a chance to go to the playoffs, even if they’re 10th in the division with the play-in. It helps to prevent tanking. And we’re spoiled. Just getting in is a big deal for some teams and their fans. Kings went 16 years without going to the playoffs and it’s been 20 years since they won a playoff game.

Times change. You either change with them or get left behind. I’d rather have this system that gives 2/3 of all teams a chance to make the playoffs via play-in. Having half the teams deliberately tanking every year a la Sixers would be painfully boring.

It will come as no surprise to anyone if we lose to Boston. And, yes, it would be a shock if we win. It would even be a huge surprise if we took them to 6 or 7.

I don’t expect them to win a game, but I am hoping they win 1,2,3, or 4 games. (In this way, if the Heat gets swept, I can say told you so. And if they win 1 or more games, I can say how happy I am. Love it, I can’t lose.)

Exactly. All things considered, I think that was the best game of the year. Win or go home. No Jimmy. Everyone doubting and pull it off convincingly. Now our young guys get playoff experience, and Herro and Terry get to try and get revenge. What’s not to love?
